5 Great Children's Toy and TV Brand Awareness Campaigns

Live engagement is one of the most powerful ways to connect with audiences and create content. As more companies turn to this approach, we’re seeing a wider range of brands getting involved than ever before. Children’s entertainment companies are the latest on the block – using promotional campaigns to spread fun and brand awareness.

So just how are the children’s toy brands of today doing it? Read on for five of our favourite projects.

The Teletubbies’ London showcase

A global sensation, even the Teletubbies like to hit the road to spread some joy. This brand campaign stood out thanks to a bright and colourful open-top bus – the exact kind used for big city tours! Our team displayed the characters in vibrant vinyl, and installed a changing area with blacked-out windows for event staff.

Engagement was the name of the game, with a lithium sound system and microphone used for trivia games that got the party started. On the bus, the Teletubbies and their DJ could play to the London crowds in style – turning heads from the London Eye to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and beyond.

Stopping at Excel London, the Teletubbies and their fun squad posed for the cameras and hung out with fellow entertainers. Promohire provided the custom bus, fun squad, engagement props, and sent a videographer to help with content creation!

Rainbow High’s airbrush & create Airstream

The Rainbow High Airbrush & Create Airstream promotional vehicle.

Carousel PR had a big idea. They wanted to use a promotional vehicle to spearhead brand awareness for Rainbow High’s ‘airbrush and create’ product line. As you can imagine, this event was needed stand out from the crowd to get the kids excited.

They quickly decided on a colourful Airstream. This absolute showstopper drew crowds in Milton Keynes, Oldham, Coventry and Northampton – and it’s no wonder, looking at the end result!

This vehicle served as a glittery walkaround, complete with display plinths and digital screen. Kids would end the experience by spinning the wheel to win prizes.

Polly Pocket’s fun-sized scoop

Polly Pocket is a children’s toy designed to spark the imagination in a fun-sized way. And in 2025, Polly wanted to spread some summer fun outside Smyths toy stores.

A crowd gathers for Polly Pocket's brand campaign ice cream van, with a photo ops and seating area.

Free ice creams made Polly’s brand awareness event one to remember. The pink and blue ice cream van was customised so staff could keep the chilled treats coming, and the Astroturf seating area gave fans a space to unwind after a busy day toy shopping.

Today’s brand campaigns are all about content, and Polly’s was no exception. A photo op with face cut-outs meant kids could pose for pics, creating treasured memories for children and parents alike.

We supplied the ice cream van, Mr. Whippy ice creams with oyster shell cones and sprinkles, branded napkins and wafers, and provided ice lollies for kids with allergies. Feeling inspired? See how to elevate your ice cream sampling campaign for advice.

The Sticki Rolls ‘give back’ tour

Stickers are always big fun for the young, as well as the young at heart! And as an up-and-coming brand, Sticki Rolls wanted to spread the word while doing its part for the people who matter most.

An influencer waves from the Sticki Rolls London taxi, ready for their brand awareness campaign.

They chose a gorgeously decorated London taxi, featuring unique designs that children were sure to love. After all, who can’t resist the ever-popular axolotl? Sticki Rolls hired an influencer to hand out free toys to kids in Great Ormond Street Hospital. They also journeyed across London to turn as many heads as possible.

As brand campaigns go, this was simple and highly cost-effective.

Strawberry Shortcake’s content capture café

A classic character from the 1980s, Strawberry Shortcake is a popular toy who's also featured in films and TV. Agency WildBrain wanted to reignite her claim to fame, with a deliciously finished rustic van in the style of Fresh and SPACE NK’s floral event.

This campaign made the classic Citroen H-Van the star of the show, followed closely by Strawberry Shortcake herself. Much like the Teletubbies, she attended London Excel to greet fans and famous faces from the entertainment biz.

The H-Van was stunning to look at, with gorgeous hues to match the theme. On site, guests could craft their own jewellery, grab a drink, and chill out in a custom seating area. With a colourful backdrop, who wouldn’t want a pic with the leading lady?
