In the beauty world, it’s not enough to just look good on the shelf. Your brand needs to show up in real life and create unforgettable moments. That’s why so many beauty and skincare brands have asked us to bring their ideas to life.
From chic PR stunts and sampling days to immersive experiences, we’ve helped brands connect with audiences in ways that are fun, unique and on brand.
Here are 10 of our favourite beauty campaigns and what made each one special.
Charlotte Tilbury wanted to promote its ‘Pillow Talk’ range, specifically a new love heart compact. This became one of our most ambitious beauty activations yet, with a rose gold Airstream and plenty of engagement pieces, so that every inch served as a unique photo moment.
It was also highly interactive. Guests could press a giant love heart (fabricated by Promohire) to win special prizes, and pose with oversized lipstick and compact props.
This month-long beauty roadshow was a big success, with over 14,000 prizes won. Visit the Charlotte Tilbury case study for more on this creative brand campaign.
With a new calendar bursting with cosmetic goodies, Liberty London needed a PR stunt to spark the imagination. They went with both a Piaggio Ape and Citroen H-Van, which we designed to look just like the product itself! The Piaggio Ape became a compact statement piece, while the H-Van was designed in a matching style.
This two-day live campaign was all about content creation – with early access given to influencers and media houses. It was the perfect way to build buzz around Liberty’s hot new item and a great way to spread the word on social media!
Beauty brands often encourage people to try their products, with the goal of more in-store purchases. With this in mind, Fenty wanted a mobile café experience, where guests could grab a latte and test the new foundations. ‘Sip, Swatch and Glow’ was the phrase of the day, making for a try-before-you-buy experience that couldn't be missed.
We supplied a US postal van complete with rooftop signage and a 3D bottle, and decorated the vehicle in a Mocha Mousse-like shade. Branded parasols (available in our store) protected the event from rain, so the fun could continue all day long.
Vieve chose one of our vintage Airstreams for their brand campaign, in honour of their new Nova complexion balm.
This gorgeous vehicle was themed with a product display wall and interior lights, plus three makeup stations and a high-def screen. Vieve’s PR stunt visited four cities, where it saw a massive amount of engagement.

How can you bring your products to your audience in a fun new way? MAC answered with a Piaggio Ape and matching game! The vehicle was vibrantly decorated in MAC’s hot pink colour, with a green interior and light-up details. The roof sign also lit up – so this compact vehicle could make a bigger impact on the busy high street.
Guests who attended this brand campaign could spin the wheel for prizes, such as free lipsticks, a full-size foundation, a free makeover, or £50 off their next order.

Debenhams partnered with Lancome for a beauty roadshow, using an Airstream as the star! Our team customised this vehicle with a turquoise exterior, which opened to reveal an immersive walk-in experience.
This mobile beauty activation was a summer event not to be missed. 3D logos and light-up details set the stage for a true glamour showcase, while branded mirrors and seating gave guests a special place to try the cosmetic range.
The Debenhams Airstream hit Camp Kerala for a weekend of glam and glow-ups, where people could get an exclusive look at upcoming items!
A promotional vehicle can be a fun talking point. Few know that better than NYX, who routinely picks the most unique vehicles from our fleet.
Take their ‘milk-over’ electric milk float, for example. This eco-friendly vehicle was fully wrapped to appear doused in milk, in a nod to the brand’s milky gloss lipstick. It featured 360-degree advertising and a branded roof sign.
Then there’s the ‘dare to duck’ beauty campaign, involving a custom ice cream van, high-impact visuals, and an oversized duck prop. Check out our design and build guide for more on what our fabrication team can do!
Being an Australian brand, QV Skincare wanted a vehicle that could travel the UK and act as an educational hub. They chose an Airstream because of its sizeable interior, which could be turned into an engaging walkthrough.
The Promohire team worked with The Do Collective to provide a decorative Airstream, along with 3D props and photo moments for massive engagement. We also hired promotional staff to help make this skincare campaign extra special and sent our videographer to snap pics and reels for online content.

An American company, Fresh planned to extend its reach to customers in the UK.
To make this beauty campaign happen, we worked with SPACE NK to customise a vintage H-Van in a gorgeous blue hue, and created a rooftop sign with floral arrangement. The vehicle was complemented with tables and chairs, along with a mobile cart for easy sampling.
Given that Fresh’s mobile activation would travel 236 miles, we managed all logistics to ensure a smooth process. Check out Fresh and SPACE NK’s mobile café for more info.
City brand campaigns can be challenging. You may have the perfect spot in mind but have limited space, or you may want to hand out samples before quickly moving on.
Aveeno’s VW Camper allowed them to do just that. Customised with a lift-up roof and a movable counter, it was the ideal way to engage with the public on the go.
With a fun design and a relaxation space with branded deckchairs and parasols, this event gained a lot of attention in the summer heat.
